Chittor Vijay is a 1960 Indian historical drama film directed by S.S. Vasan and starring Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini and Ragini in the lead roles. The story takes place in medieval India, where the brave warrior-king, Raja Ratan Singh, rules the kingdom of Chittor with valor and justice. Ratan Singh is forced to face his biggest challenge when the Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin Khilji, begins to target the kingdom. In order to protect the honor of his people, Ratan Singh decides to fight back and drives away the invading forces. However, due to the overwhelming odds, Ratan Singh is killed in battle. His son, Vijay, decides to take up his father's cause and leads an army of 3000 men against the Sultan's massive forces. With determination and courage, Vijay defeats the Sultan's army and restores peace and honor to Chittor.
