Story

Valmiki is a 1946 Indian mythological film directed by Ram Daryani. It is based on the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. The story follows the life of Valmiki, an untouchable hermit who is transformed into a great sage after receiving divine knowledge from Lord Vishnu. Valmiki then begins to spread the message of love and peace to all those around him. As his fame and influence grows, the kings of the land take notice and become jealous. They plot to have Valmiki thrown out of the kingdom. However, with the aid of Vishnu, Valmiki manages to outwit and defeat the kings, restoring justice to the kingdom and proving his worthiness as a sage. In the end, Valmiki is accepted by the people and praised for his wisdom and devotion to truth.
