Story

Laxmi Narayan is a classic Bollywood film from the 1960s. The story follows Laxmi, an innocent girl who is in love with the son of her landlord, Raja. When Raja's parents disapprove of their relationship, Laxmi is sent away to live with her aunt. Meanwhile, Raja's parents arrange for him to marry a girl from a wealthy family. Torn apart by this obstacle, Laxmi runs away and decides to become a dancer to earn money. Raja follows her and eventually they reunite and get married. However, their joyous reunion is short-lived as Laxmi's aunt, angered by her disobedience, throws them out of the house. With the help of Laxmi's friends, the couple manages to find a new place and start their own business. In the end, they are reunited with Laxmi's aunt and the movie ends happily. The film tells a beautiful story of love conquering all obstacles and succeeding against all odds.
