Siddharth is a 2013 Indian drama film directed by Richie Mehta. The plot follows Siddharth, a poor rickshaw puller living in Delhi. His twelve-year-old son, Mahendra, goes missing and Siddharth embarks on a journey spanning two states in order to search for him. Along the way, he encounters several people who help him in his quest, including a social worker and a police officer. The film explores themes of poverty, child abduction, and ultimately, hope. In the end, Siddharth finds his son in a town far away from home, but he discovers that Mahendra was sold into slavery. With the help of the social worker and the police officer, he manages to rescue his son and bring him back home. Despite his tribulations, Siddharth never lost faith in himself or in his mission to find his son, showing that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible.
