Story

Chamku is a 2008 Indian action drama film, written and directed by Kabeer Kaushik. It stars Bobby Deol as Chandramohan alias Chamku, a child orphaned in the 1984 Sikh riots who is adopted by a Naxalite leader and grows up to become an assassin for hire. When he is assigned to kill a police officer, he instead develops a bond with the officer's family and reevaluates his life. Chamku is the story of Chandramohan, an orphan of the 1984 Sikh riots. He is taken in by a Naxalite leader and trained to become an assassin-for-hire. As he grows older, he develops a ruthless reputation. But when he is asked to assassinate an honest police officer, he begins to question his life and finds solace in the officer's family. In the end, Chamku is forced to make a difficult decision - continue his life of crime or turn away from it and start anew.
