Story

Zubeidaa is the story of a woman who seeks to fulfill her dreams of becoming a successful actress. She moves to Mumbai and meets with film producer, Karan Razdaan, who casts her in his movie. The movie is a success and Zubeidaa becomes a star. She is also married off to royal prince, Maharaj Yashwantrao Holkar III. Despite having a loving husband, she continues to pursue her acting dream and eventually wins a National Film Award. However, tragedy strikes when Yashwantrao dies suddenly, leaving Zubeidaa alone with her son. She decides to start a new life on her own terms, moving back to Mumbai and taking up acting again. In the end, she succeeds in fulfilling her dreams and her son is proud of her.
