Wohi Raat Wohi Awaaz 1973

Wohi Raat Wohi Awaaz is a 1983 Indian Bollywood suspense-thriller film directed by Gogi Anand. The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Padmini Kolhapure and Deepak Parashar in lead roles. The story follows Inspector Arjun Singh (Rajesh Khanna) who is assigned to investigate the murder of a wealthy businessman. He discovers that the businessman had been receiving threatening phone calls from a mysterious woman. Arjun seeks out the woman and finds out that she is his former lover, Poonam (Padmini Kolhapure). Poonam had been blackmailing the businessman for money but eventually he refused to pay her any more. In revenge, Poonam killed him. She forces Arjun to help cover up her tracks, as he still has lingering feelings for her. Throughout the investigation, Arjun slowly pieces together the mystery of the murder, and eventually apprehends Poonam. Although Arjun is successful in solving the case, he is left feeling torn between the duty of justice and his love for Poonam. In the end, Arjun chooses justice and Poonam is arrested for her crime.
