Trapped 1931

Trapped is a 1931 film directed by H. Bruce Humberstone about a gang of criminals who rob a bank in Mexico and flee to the United States. On their way, they stop at an inn where they get involved with a young woman, Mary Lane, whom they kidnap and take across the border. Mary's boyfriend, Larry, follows them in pursuit. When the gang reaches the US, they are arrested and sent to prison. In the meantime, Mary has been taken in by a kindly rancher, John Denton, who she falls in love with. However, when Larry catches up with her, he demands that she go back to Mexico with him. Mary refuses, so Larry attempts to kill John, but ends up being shot by one of the gang members. The gang is then recaptured and brought to justice. In the end, Mary and John find happiness together.
