Story

Mehndi is a romantic drama about two young people, Raj and Mohni, who fall for each other and get married. Raj's family opposes his marriage to Mohni because she is from a lower caste than them. Despite their opposition, Raj and Mohni remain committed to each other and decide to elope. On the day of their wedding, Mohni's family are informed by Raj's family that they are from different castes and have to cancel the wedding. In a desperate attempt to prove her love for Raj, Mohni decides to run away with him. After an eventful journey, the couple eventually reunite and get married, but Raj's family still refuse to accept them. After much persistence, Raj's family finally relent and grant their blessing for the couple. The film ends with Raj and Mohni happily married, surrounded by the blessings of both families.
