Heroine 2012

Heroine is a 2012 Indian drama film about a popular actress whose career and personal life crash when her past comes back to haunt her. Mahi Arora (Kareena Kapoor) is the reigning superstar of Bollywood. Despite being in a committed relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Aryan (Arjun Rampal), Mahi's life is thrown into disarray when her former lover, supermodel Dharmesh Darshan (Randeep Hooda), returns to India. Dharmesh and Mahi must confront their unresolved issues while defending their respective reputations against a media onslaught. Mahi also has to contend with ruthless competitors who will do anything to destroy her career. In the end, Mahi must choose between her public image and her own happiness. The film explores themes of fame, relationships, and the power of redemption.
