Story

Gattu is a 2012 Indian feature film about a young orphan who lives on the streets of India. He dreams of flying an old kite, but his poverty prevents him from buying one. Gattu befriends a streetwise girl named Rashmi, who helps him find a kite and he starts to fly it with her help. His kite-flying skills soon become well known in the neighborhood and he earns respect from his peers. Gattu's passion for kite-flying begins to take flight and so does his life. With Rashmi's help, he enters a kite-flying competition and eventually wins first prize. His newfound fame and success bring a brighter future, as he is finally able to continue his studies and get back on track with his education. Gattu's story shows us that with determination and courage, anything is possible.
