Taare Zameen Par is a 2007 Indian drama film directed by Aamir Khan and written by Amole Gupte. The film stars Darsheel Safary as Ishaan, an 8-year-old boy with dyslexia, and Aamir Khan as his art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh. The story follows Ishaan's struggle with dyslexia, which makes it difficult for him to perform well in school. His teachers and parents are frustrated by his inability to learn, and he is sent to boarding school. At the boarding school, Ishaan meets his art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who recognizes Ishaan's unique creative potential and helps him overcome his dyslexia.
