Story

Chittagong is a 2012 Indian historical war drama film directed by Bedabrata Pain. It stars Manoj Bajpayee and Delzad Hiwale in lead roles. The story is set in the 1930s British India and centers around a 14-year old boy named Jhunku, a student of a local school led by Masterda Surya Sen. Jhunku joins Surya's group of revolutionary freedom fighters who are determined to overthrow the British Raj. The revolutionaries conduct a daring raid on a heavily guarded armory in Chittagong and this marks the beginning of their struggle to fight for independence. The British eventually become aware of the revolutionaries' activities and launch an all-out assault on them. Despite suffering heavy losses, the revolutionaries manage to take control of the city of Chittagong and successfully hoist the Indian flag.
