Story

Tezaab is a story about two star-crossed lovers, Mohan and Nilu. Mohan is a street-smart but innocent young man who falls in love with the beautiful Nilu. However, their romance is doomed from the start, as both of them come from very different backgrounds. Nilu's brother, Inspector Gokhale, is determined to keep them apart. He even goes so far as to threaten Mohan with jail if he does not stay away from Nilu. Mohan, desperate to prove his love for Nilu, decides to join the police force himself. His ultimate goal is to be able to protect Nilu from her brother's wrath. He eventually succeeds in joining the force and is assigned to investigate a case involving gunrunners. During the course of his investigation, he discovers a link between the criminals and Nilu's brother. In the end, Mohan is able to save Nilu from her brother's grasp and they are finally able to be together.
