Story

Shehnai is a 1964 Indian musical drama film directed by Kidar Sharma. It stars Bharat Bhushan, Mala Sinha, Pradeep Kumar and Shobha Khote. The story follows the life of a young woman named Gauri (Mala Sinha), who lives in a small village along with her father, Ram Prasad (Bharat Bhushan). She is in love with a wealthy businessman named Gopal (Pradeep Kumar). However, Gopal's mother does not approve of their relationship due to the difference in their social class. In order to prove her worth, Gauri takes up a job in the local court as a shehnai player. With the help of her newfound talent, she is able to win over Gopal's family and both of them get married. The movie ends on a happy note as Gauri and Gopal start a new life together. Shehnai is a heartwarming tale of love and determination. Despite the challenges that Gauri faces, she overcomes all of them with her courage and determination. The film highlights the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving one's dreams.
