Story

Pooja Ke Phool is a 1964 Indian drama film directed by Raja Nawathe. The movie tells the story of an orphaned girl, Pooja, who is adopted by a wealthy family in rural India. Despite her adoptive father’s disapproval, Pooja falls in love with an educated young man, Bhim, and the two get married. As they try to start their life together, they face obstacles from both their families. Unable to cope, Pooja runs away and ends up living on the streets. After a period of time, she is taken in by a kind old woman. Meanwhile, Bhim searches for her and eventually finds her. The couple is then reunited and they live happily ever after. In the end, Pooja's adoptive father realizes his mistake and blesses the couple. The movie emphasizes the importance of family acceptance and true love prevailing over all odds.
