Kaanchi 2014

Kaanchi is a story of a brave and strong-willed village girl who stands up against power and corruption. Kaanchi (Mishti) is a girl from a small village living with her grandfather, whose life is changed when she meets Binda (Kartik Aaryan), a young man who is trying to make a living as a mechanic. After witnessing the death of a social activist at the hands of a powerful politician, Kaanchi decides to take a stand and fight against the injustice. She forms a student movement which gradually becomes a powerful people's uprising against the corrupt politicians. Kaanchi faces numerous obstacles in her crusade for justice but refuses to back down. With the help of her friends, including Binda, she succeeds in bringing the corrupt system down. In the end, Kaanchi emerges victorious, proving that the power of truth is more powerful than anything else.
