Story

That Girl in Yellow Boots is a psychological drama film set in Mumbai, India. It follows Ruth, an Englishwoman who has come to India in search of her father, whom she hasn’t seen since childhood. However, Ruth discovers that her father is not the man she was expecting. As she delves deeper into his past, she finds herself drawn into the city’s seedy underbelly, which includes human trafficking and drugs. In order to find her father, Ruth must confront her own inner demons and the ugly truths behind India’s booming economy. Through her journey, she learns to accept the darkness of the world around her, while also finding strength within herself. The movie shows how our choices shape us as individuals, and how we can overcome our fears and hardships to gain understanding and acceptance.
