Police Public is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Esmayeel Shroff and produced by Harish Upadhyay. The film stars Chunky Pandey, Sumeet Saigal, Mandakini, Vijayendra Ghatge, and Amrish Puri. The story follows Police Officer Anand Mathur (Chunky Pandey), who is transferred to a small town called Shivnagari which is known for its corruption. He is determined to restore justice in the town and soon finds himself at odds with local criminals. He also has to deal with corrupt police officers who are part of the criminal organization. After several attempts on his life, Anand eventually succeeds in bringing the criminals to justice. Throughout the movie, Anand struggles to find a balance between upholding the law and protecting the innocent people of Shivnagari. Anand Mathur is a principled police officer who is transferred to Shivnagari in order to restore justice to the corruption-ridden town. He faces numerous obstacles while trying to do so, including corrupt police officers, powerful criminals, and attempts on his own life.
