New York 2009

New York is the story of three characters living in New York City. Sam, a banker, is trying to save his marriage to Riya, a successful fashion designer. When they are unable to reconcile their differences, Sam falls into a deep depression and decides to move out of their shared apartment. Meanwhile, Omar, an immigrant from India, is struggling to make it as a musician. As Sam and Omar's paths cross, they form an unlikely friendship. Eventually, Sam helps Omar get signed to a record label and Omar helps Sam gain the courage to fight for his marriage. In the end, Sam and Riya reunite and Omar achieves his musical dreams. Through the friendship of these three characters, New York captures themes of friendship, resilience, and hope.
