Mera Saaya 1966

Mera Saaya is a 1966 Hindi-language film directed by Raj Khosla. It stars Sunil Dutt and Sadhana Shivdasani in lead roles. The story revolves around a young woman named Maya, who has just married Anand (Sunil Dutt). However, tragedy strikes when Anand is killed. Maya struggles to come to terms with her husband's death and the surprise revelation that she is expecting his child. In her grief, she turns to her late husband's friend and lawyer Rakesh (Prem Chopra) for help. Meanwhile, a mysterious stranger, Rajesh, appears in Maya's life claiming to be Anand's long lost brother. He helps Maya recover from her grief and in the process, they fall in love. Ultimately, it is revealed that Rajesh was actually Anand himself who had faked his own death to protect Maya from being killed by a vengeful ex-lover of his. In the end, Anand and Maya are reunited and happily remarry.
