_(film) Khamosh is a 1985 suspense-thriller film starring Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Amol Palekar and Pankaj Kapur. It follows the story of a crime reporter, Vikas, investigating a serial killer who's been targeting women and leaving behind cryptic notes. Vikas soon discovers that the killer is actually an insane doctor whose wife was killed in a botched abortion procedure. When Vikas starts to get too close to the truth, he becomes the killer's target as well. In the end, Vikas manages to stop the killer and clear his own name.
