Story

Drishyam is a 2015 Indian thriller drama film that tells the story of a village man, Vijay Salgaonkar who runs a cable TV network and his family. His wife Nandini and two children, Anju and Anu are living a content life until one day when Varun, the son of an influential police officer, gets into trouble with the law. In order to protect his family from retribution, Vijay fabricates a story about where the boy was at the time of the incident. The police investigate and eventually come to suspect that Vijay's story might not be true. Despite intense pressure and threats from the police, Vijay stands firm in his fabricated story and manages to protect his family. In the end, the truth is revealed and justice prevails. Vijay's courage and quick thinking proves successful in protecting his family from harm.
