Benaam 1999

Benaam is a 1999 Indian thriller film directed by Sai Paranjpye. The story follows the life of Raja, a young man who loses his memory in an accident and is found wandering by a police officer. The police officer takes him to a hospital and informs his family about the incident, but they reject him because he has no memory of them. Later on, Raja is adopted by a kind elderly couple, Shekar and Bijli, who take care of him like their own son. Raja gradually recovers from amnesia and starts working as a driver for Shekar. He also falls in love with Sapna, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. However, one day Raja is approached by two men who tell him that he is an international criminal wanted for murder. Raja is desperate to prove his innocence and discovers the truth behind his past. In the end, Raja exposes the real murderer and regains his reputation.
