Story

Bandish is a 1996 Indian musical drama film directed by Prakash Jha. It stars Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, and Nirmal Pandey in the lead roles. The film tells the story of Abhay (Shroff), a famous singer from Delhi who meets a beautiful classical dancer, Radha (Tandon). Abhay falls in love with her and wants to learn classical dancing from her. However, Radha's father refuses permission for them to marry as he wants Radha to marry a person from her own social class. Despite this obstacle, Abhay and Radha continue to pursue their love and eventually get married. Together, they create an amazing fusion of classical and modern music that wins hearts all over India. In the end, with the help of their friends, Abhay and Radha are able to overcome all obstacles and prove themselves to Radha's father. Bandish is a story of love, music, and determination in the face of societal pressure.
