Baazigar is a story of revenge and retribution. The movie follows the life of Ajay Sharma, who has been wronged by his father and step-family. He seeks revenge on them by making a series of calculated moves that will bring him to power and wealth. He begins by entering into a business deal with Priya Chopra, the daughter of his stepmother's former lover. Through this deal, he makes a fortune and gains access to her family's wealth. He then uses his newfound resources to manipulate his stepmother and her lover into signing away their assets. With his newfound power, Ajay is able to take revenge on those who wronged him and finally get justice for his father. In the end, it is revealed that the person behind all of Ajay's schemes was actually his own father, who had been living in disguise as his stepfather.
