Story

Ardh Satya is a 1983 Indian crime drama film about a police officer's struggle against corruption. The story follows Anant Welankar, a Police Sub-Inspector assigned to a small town in Maharashtra. He soon discovers that the local police officers are deeply entrenched in a culture of bribery and corruption. Anant begins to take a stand against the officers' misdeeds and attempts to restore justice. His methods quickly draw the ire of the corrupt officers, leading to a tense confrontation between Anant and his superior. Despite his best efforts, Anant fails to bring the corrupt officers to justice and finds himself alone in his fight. Ultimately, he decides to take matters into his own hands, resulting in a tragic ending for all involved. In the end, Anant learns an important lesson about the need to stand up for justice and the power of one individual to make a difference.
