Anwar 2007

Anwar is a 2007 Bollywood film about a young Muslim man, Anwar (Sikandar Kher) who is falsely accused of terrorism and imprisoned. While in prison, he meets a Hindu doctor, Priti (Manisha Koirala) who has been wrongfully convicted on the same charges. Anwar falls in love with Priti and they eventually escape from prison together. After fleeing to a small town, Anwar does odd jobs to support himself and Priti while trying to clear his name. Eventually, Anwar finds out that the real culprit is a powerful politician and must find a way to prove his innocence. With the help of an investigative journalist and a former police officer, Anwar finally manages to prove his innocence and reunites with Priti.
