A Thursday 2022

A Thursday is a 2008 Indian crime thriller film starring Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ayesha Takia. The story revolves around the police commissioner Prakash Rathod, who on a Thursday morning receives a call from an anonymous caller, threatening to blow up three bombs in three different locations within three hours unless four terrorists are released from prison. In spite of the pressure to comply with the demands of the terrorist, Rathod decides to handle the situation alone and take matters into his own hands. He contacts several people to help him find out who the caller is and where he is calling from. With the help of his team, he manages to identify the caller and eventually discovers that the caller is actually an undercover cop. He also finds out that the caller's real motive was to prevent the release of the four terrorists. Rathod eventually foils the plan and captures the caller. In the end, despite the immense pressure of the situation, the police commissioner succeeds in saving the city from a disaster.
