Zameen Ke Tare 1960

Zameen Ke Tare is a story about a young man, Rajesh, who lives in a small village and dreams of going to the city. He meets a girl, Shanti, and falls in love with her. However, she is from a wealthy family and they are not allowed to marry. Rajesh's dream of becoming an engineer is also dashed when he fails his exams. Determined to make something of himself, he takes a job as a labourer on a nearby farm. Rajesh and Shanti continue to meet secretly and their love grows stronger. One day, Shanti's parents decide to arrange her marriage to a rich man and Rajesh is heartbroken. In a last-ditch effort, he rallies his fellow labourers to protest against the unfair pay they are receiving. While the protest is successful, it comes at a cost for Rajesh, who is arrested and sentenced to prison. After his release, he returns to the village and finds that Shanti has been waiting for him all along. They reunite and marry, with the villagers celebrating their love amidst cheers and joy.
