Waris 1969

Waris is a 1969 Indian drama film directed by and starring Dilip Kumar. The film tells the story of a prince, Raja Narendra Singh, who is forced to flee his kingdom after he is falsely accused of murder. He flees to the desert where he meets an old man named Waris, who takes him in and raises him as his own son. Over time, Raja finds out about his true identity but decides to stay in the desert with Waris. Eventually, the truth comes out and Raja is able to return to his kingdom and marry his beloved. However, Waris's health begins to decline and he dies shortly afterwards. Raja realizes the impact that Waris had on his life and honors his memory by building a temple for him.
