Vivah 2006

Vivah is a 2006 Indian romantic drama film. It follows the journey of two individuals, Poonam (Amrita Rao) and Prem (Shahid Kapoor), who are arranged to be married. The story begins with Poonam visiting her fiancé’s home for the first time, and the two share a brief but blissful moment. As time passes, they gradually get to know each other and become closer. Despite their families' initial reservations, they eventually accept the couple's relationship. However, their relationship is tested by the arrival of an unexpected guest: Poonam's childhood friend, Chaman. In order to protect Poonam's honour, Prem decides to step aside, leaving the couple in a difficult situation. With the help of family and friends, they eventually overcome their obstacles and find their way back to each other. The movie culminates in a grand wedding ceremony, as Poonam and Prem finally unite in holy matrimony. Vivah tells the story of a couple's journey from engagement to marriage and all the challenges they face along the way.
