Story

Vidhaata is a 1982 Indian drama film directed by Subhash Ghai. The story revolves around the two estranged sons of an industrialist, and their journey to reunite with each other. After their father dies, his eldest son, Raja, is raised by his stepmother while his younger brother, Shankar, is adopted by a kind hearted criminal. As adults, Raja and Shankar are unaware of their brotherhood and they become enemies due to their opposing ideologies. Eventually, they discover the truth and must overcome their differences to save their family from a corrupt politician and their own stepmother. They work together to restore justice and peace in their community. Ultimately, the brothers reconcile and their family is reunited. Vidhaata tells the story of how love, forgiveness and understanding can triumph over hatred, greed and corruption.
