Umrika 2015

Umrika is a 2015 Indian drama film directed by Prashant Nair. The story follows Ramakant, a young man from a small village in India, who has been searching for his brother, Uday, ever since he left home several years ago to pursue his dreams of migrating to America. After months of searching, Ramakant finally receives a letter from Uday, revealing that he is living and working in Umrika, an American city. Ramakant embarks on a journey to find his brother, but discovers that his expectations and the reality of Umrika are two very different things. Along the way, Ramakant meets many people and learns about the struggles immigrants face in their pursuit of the American dream. Ultimately, Ramakant finds his brother and discovers that while life in Umrika is not what he had expected, it can still be a place full of surprises and hope.
