Ummeed 1962

Ummeed is a 1962 Hindi family drama film. It stars Sulochana Latkar and Prem Adib in the leading roles. The movie follows the story of an elderly couple, Ramchandra and Gauri, who have two sons, Bhagwandas and Mangal. Bhagwandas is a kind-hearted man with a good heart and he takes care of his parents, while Mangal is a selfish man who only looks out for his own interests. Gauri has a dream that her sons will make a name for themselves and bring honor to their family. But when Bhagwandas goes to college, he gets into trouble and gets expelled. He then decides to go to Bombay and try to make a living there. Mangal also goes to Bombay, but instead of working, he spends all his money on gambling and partying. In the end, Bhagwandas proves himself by eventually getting a job and becoming successful while Mangal's recklessness leads to his downfall. Through hard work and determination, Bhagwandas ultimately brings honor to his family and fulfills his mother's dreams.
