Umar Qaid is a Hindi film that tells the story of an innocent man convicted of a crime he did not commit. Umar is a young Muslim man who lives with his parents in Uttar Pradesh, India. When a local mill owner is murdered, Umar is wrongfully accused of the crime and sent to prison. During his time in prison, Umar meets a convict named Bhagwati and they form a friendship.
