Story

Tulsi Vivah is a Marathi movie about the marriage of Lord Vishnu and Tulsi, the holy plant. Set in modern times, the movie follows two families, the Deshmukh's and the Chitre's who are related by marriage and also, share a long-standing tradition of celebrating Tulsi Vivah. The movie focuses on an innocent love story between Sameer Deshmukh, a young man from the Deshmukh family, and Anjali Chitre, a girl from the Chitre family. When Sameer and Anjali meet at a wedding, they instantly fall in love. Although both families approve of the union, Anjali's grandfather insists that they must wait until after the Tulsi Vivah ceremony to get married. This forces Sameer to take part in the ritual, despite his lack of faith in the religion. Despite facing numerous obstacles, Sameer and Anjali eventually marry each other during the Tulsi Vivah ceremony. The movie ends with the two families happily celebrating the union of Sameer and Anjali and the importance of Tulsi Vivah in modern society. I...
