Thugs of Hindostan is an Indian epic action-adventure film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. It follows the story of a band of Thugs led by Khudabaksh Azaad (Amitabh Bachchan), who fight against the expanding British East India Company in order to free their homeland. The British Company send a local officer, John Clive (Lloyd Owen) to defeat the Thugs, and he recruits Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan) to help him. Firangi initially betrays the Thugs, but ultimately joins them in their fight against the British. With the help of Zafira (Katrina Kaif), the Thugs manage to win several battles and succeed in freeing their home. In the end, Firangi sacrifices himself to save Khudabaksh and the Thugs.
