Story

The Killer is a 2006 action-thriller movie starring Chow Yun-Fat, directed by John Woo. The story follows an assassin named Ah Jong (Chow Yun-Fat), who is forced to shoot a young prostitute in order to complete his latest mission. After the event, Ah Jong is left with guilt and regret for what he has done and makes the decision to retire from his life as an assassin. He meets a young police officer, Li Ying (Kelly Lin), who is determined to bring him to justice. Against his better judgement, Ah Jong takes Li Ying under his wing and together they go on a journey of self-discovery and redemption. Along the way, they discover that Ah Jong was actually hired by a rival gang to kill the prostitute, and they must join forces to take down the criminals responsible for her death. In the end, Ah Jong and Li Ying are able to find peace and closure, while also bringing justice to those who wronged them.
