The Idea of You 2024

This is not exactly a May - December flirtation but quite appropriately a May - August romance, hence perhaps explaining the name of the boy band "August moon".

Forget midlife crisis, meet midlife momnesia! Apparently, turning 40 comes with a side effect of forgetting your age entirely, at least according to the upcoming rom-com "The Idea of You." In this hilarious film, we meet Solene, a recently divorced mom whose idea of a wild weekend involves microwaved dinners and reruns of "Friends." But when her teenage daughter drags her to a music festival (think Coachella with glitter), Solene's carefully curated life gets a major shake-up when Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of boy band sensation "August Moon" enters her life.

Imagine Justin Bieber with a sprinkle of Zac Efron, all wrapped up in a package young enough to be Solene's, well, let's just say "son's best friend." A case of mistaken trailers (think "Pretty Woman" gone music festival) throws Solene and Hayes together, and let's just say the sparks fly faster than a rogue firework.

Now Solene's caught in a hilarious tug-of-war between her inner fangirl and her very-much-grown-up self. Can she handle the screaming teenage fans, the disapproving stares of her daughter (who probably had Hayes posters on her wall a few years ago), and the guilt of maybe, just maybe, having a crush on someone who could be her child's idol?

"The Idea of You" promises to be a laugh-out-loud journey that proves love can strike at any age, even if it comes with a side of awkward dance moves and questionable fashion choices (we're looking at you, glitter boots!).
