Elise's birthday getaway started innocently enough. But amidst the laughter and bonfire stories at their remote cabin, boredom gnawed. Curiosity led them to a hidden room – a dusty haven of occult artifacts. In the flickering firelight, a weathered box held a deck of Tarot cards, their images disturbingly vivid.

Haley, known for her past dabblings in the mystical, offered readings. What began as lighthearted amusement morphed into a chilling spectacle. Each card, drawn with an unsettling pull, mirrored a hidden fear or dark secret. The Tower, foretelling upheaval, sent shivers down Tom's spine – his shaky finances threatened to come crashing down. The Hanged Man, a harbinger of stagnation, mirrored Sarah's stalled career aspirations.

As the night deepened, the playful atmosphere dissolved. The cards seemed to hold an unnerving power, their pronouncements clinging to the air. A sudden storm raged outside, mirroring the turmoil within. When the final card, Death, landed in front...
