Taqdeer is a 1943 Hindi film directed by M. Sadiq and starring Ashok Kumar, Mehtab and Pratima Devi. The story revolves around the life of a young woman named Gauri, who is forced to marry an elderly man. Gauri soon discovers that her husband is actually a cruel and abusive person, so she decides to flee and seek refuge at her brother's house. However, her brother is unable to protect her from her husband’s wrath, so Gauri is forced to return home. With no other option left, she turns to God for help and is blessed with a miraculous baby boy called Taqdeer. When her son grows up, he helps her escape from her husband and reunite with her brother. In the end, Gauri and Taqdeer live happily ever after. The story highlights the power of faith and how miracles can occur when one has true faith in themselves and in God.
