Story

Swarg Narak is a 1978 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It stars Sanjeev Kumar and Sharmila Tagore as two lovers, Raja and Radha. Raja is a wealthy businessman from a small village in India and Radha is a middle-class girl from the city. Raja's father arranges for him to marry an upper-class woman, but Raja and Radha fall in love and elope. Raja's parents are upset and disown him. Raja and Radha then move to the city and start a business together. They struggle to make ends meet, but eventually find success. The couple also have a daughter who eventually becomes successful in her own right. Eventually, Raja's parents forgive him and accept his marriage to Radha. The film ends with Raja and Radha happily reunited with their family. Swarg Narak is a story of overcoming difficulties and the power of true love to conquer all odds.
