Story

Sultanat is a 2014 Bollywood film about a royal family in Hyderabad. The story follows the rule of the ruling family and the struggles of its members. It tells the story of two brothers, Rana Shivaji Rao (Sunny Deol) and Rana Vikram Singh (Dilip Tahil), who are both vying for the throne of their kingdom. The elder brother Shivaji rises to power and becomes the ruler of the kingdom, while Vikram is forced to flee the palace and take refuge in a neighboring country. Shivaji's rule is met with mixed reactions from his subjects; some revere him as a just and wise leader, others resent his authoritarianism. Meanwhile, Vikram seeks revenge against Shivaji and plots to overthrow him. He soon joins forces with a neighboring prince, but his plans are foiled when Shivaji's son, Prince Gajendra, is proclaimed as the new heir to the throne.
