Story

Student of the Year is a 2012 Indian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Karan Johar and starring Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in lead roles. The movie follows three students—Rohan Nanda, Abhimanyu Singh and Shanaya Singhania—who attend the elite St. Teresa's College in Dehradun. Rohan is the son of a wealthy businessman, Abhimanyu comes from a family of politicians, and Shanaya is an heiress. The film focuses on their budding romance and rivalry as they compete for the Student of the Year award. At the competition, Abhimanyu wins the award, but Rohan admits his feelings to Shanaya, and they eventually become a couple. In the end, all three friends reconcile and part ways with their newfound understanding of friendship and love.
