Star is a 1982 musical drama film directed by Stuart Hagmann and starring Irene Cara, Lee Curreri, and Laura Dean. The movie follows Coco Hernandez (Cara) as she strives to become a successful singer in New York City. Along the way, she meets several friends from the High School of Performing Arts, including a supportive dance teacher (Dean), and her love interest, Bruno Martelli (Curreri). With their support, Coco learns to believe in herself and ultimately fulfills her dream of becoming a star. Despite the challenges she faces, Coco is determined to succeed and prove that she has what it takes to be a star. In the end, she proves her worth and achieves fame and fortune. Star is an inspiring story of determination and the power of believing in oneself.
