Sparsh 1980

Sparsh is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Sai Paranjpye. It stars Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The movie tells the story of a blind school teacher, Anirudh (Naseeruddin Shah), who falls in love with his student, Kavita (Shabana Azmi). Despite their differences - Anirudh is blind and Kavita is sighted - they share a beautiful relationship. Kavita's father is not happy about the relationship and forbids them to marry, since he believes that Kavita will be unable to take care of Anirudh properly. Anirudh, however, does not give up and continues to pursue Kavita, eventually winning her over and winning her hand in marriage.
