Story

Sonchiriya is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action-crime drama film directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Set in the Chambal valley of Madhya Pradesh, it follows a group of dacoits who are on the run from the law. The story is about a gang of bandits led by Man Singh (Manoj Bajpayee). As they flee from a police force led by Virender Gujjar (Ashutosh Rana), they come across a village girl, Indumati Tomar (Bhumi Pednekar), who joins them on their journey. While on the run, the gang encounter a number of obstacles, including a rival gang, as well as their own inner demons. In the end, the bandits come to terms with their circumstances and make a stand against the oppressive system that has brought them down. Ultimately, they find redemption and peace on their own terms.
