Shukranu 2020

Shukranu is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Debamitra Biswal. The movie revolves around a young man named Bhagwan Parshuram who gets forcibly sterilized during the Emergency period in India of 1975-77. On learning that he cannot have children, he sets out to find out why he was targeted and to seek revenge. Along the way, he meets a young woman named Saloni who helps him in his mission. Through their journey, they come across a range of colourful characters who help him uncover the truth. Eventually, Bhagwan finds out that it was the government’s way of controlling the population growth in the country. He then decides to embrace life and start anew with Saloni. The story ends on a happy note with the couple embracing their future together.
