Story

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a romantic comedy about two people in love who are faced with an unexpected obstacle. Mudit Sharma and Sugandha Mishra, a young couple from Delhi, are deeply in love and ready to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. Unfortunately, due to a medical condition, Mudit is unable to consummate the marriage and this creates tension between them. Mudit and Sugandha both seek help from their families to resolve the situation. With the help of family, friends, and medical professionals, Mudit and Sugandha are able to overcome their obstacle and get married. In the end, the couple are happily wed and their love has been strengthened by their struggle to overcome their obstacle.
